AccorHotels’ corporate citizenship commitment is expressed through the Solidarity AccorHotels endowment fund. Since its creation in 2008, it has supported more than 230 projects in some 40 countries, involving more than 20,000 employees.
Above all, Solidarity AccorHotels seeks to help insert into the community and empower those populations that are disaffected or vulnerable. In this mission, the involvement of the Group's employees is essential: they play a major role in bringing the projects to life and developing them. It is in a spirit of cooperation and exchange with these employees that Solidarity AccorHotels wishes to move forward, in order to achieve a common goal: that of forging links between cultures by supporting the development of populations and their integration into their community.
Solidarity AccorHotels therefore provides its support to populations in great difficulties through three areas of intervention:
- Local know-how: support economic development through the enhancement of local expertise
- Training and insertion: promote training and the integration of young people in difficulties
- Humanitarian and emergency work: help extremely disadvantaged populations and respond to humanitarian disasters
In order to grow the number of projects supported for the benefit of a maximum number of beneficiaries, Solidarity AccorHotels has acquired a new fund-raising capability and is able to collect financial supports from outside the Group. This capability allows it to involve even more volunteers, employees and customers...
This remit meets an ambition that reflects our commitment: that of making hospitality of the heart a beacon that transcends borders.
