An invitation to travel screened by Accorhotels.com


With slots such as the hit TV shows CSI (TF1, France), 100 % Mag (M6, France) and ads on the home pages of the biggest mainstream players on the Internet (MSN, Yahoo, Google…), since 27 November Accorhotels.com has maintained a massive small screen and web presence.

The ad features a Rubik cube that mixes “picture postcard” images of several celebrated tourist destinations, together with shots of some of the Group’s iconic hotels. The message comes across as an invitation to travel, perfectly in harmony with the positioning of Accorhotels.com, recognized as a destination specialist. Customers are reminded that, as well as hotel reservations, Accorhotels.com gives Internet users the information and tools they need to plan every aspect of their intended destination, with videos, photos, tips, opinions… always linked to Group hotel locations.

Visitors up by 40% in one year

The new campaign, envisaged as a first step in a series of messages to be carried on TV and the Internet, should allow the portal to continue to ride its current wave of success. In November Accorhotels.com was designated France’s leading hotel reservation website for 2010 (source: Médiamétrie), recording a monthly average of 6.7 visitors for the year. That figure represents an increase of almost 40% as compared to 2009…
