Thalassa sea & spa has been drawing its inspiration from the sea since its inception. It all started in 1961 when Louison Bobet, a well-known cyclist with three Tour de France wins to his name, suffered a severe road accident.
After several tricky surgeries, he couldn’t wait to get back into shape and found exactly what he was looking for in the virtues of seawater. A stay in a thalassotherapy establishment put him back on his feet, he was promptly enamored with the sea’s knack for working wonders, and felt a duty to share his newfound marvel. He opened his first thalassotherapy center in Quiberon, Brittany, in 1964.
That was how Thalassa sea & spa appeared, and where its forthright commitment to perpetuating its founder’s savoir-faire and to treating customers to naturally relaxing experiences comes from.
